Another great time was had at the 2007 Academy Road Live! street festival. This year we featured a free draw for a kite, jugglers, and artist Scott Hutchinson doing caricatures for charity with EFG matching the public's contributions. About 27 caricatures were drawn and the money was donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. More photos from the event can be found on the Academy Road BIZ website.
Nicolas started training in gymnastics at the age of 9, is now 18, and trains 6 days a week for approximately 20 hours per week. He has been competing for the last 8 years and has been to many competitions at the provincial and national levels over the years with this being his first in the Senior category. His ambitions include performing well in the Senior High Performance Category and placing well in the all around, and making some finals in at the Canadian Championships.
This year, Nicolas has a chance of travelling to two international competitions to be held in the USA.The first is in December and is called the Valerie Liukin International Invitational in Plano, Texas. The second is the Black Jack International Invitational to be held in Las Vegas in February. Both of these competitions traditionally have a very good level of competition.

EFG has made a donation to help assist underprivileged children in registering for sport programs. KidSport has helped over 4,600 children register for organized sport programs since 1993.
